It started as a 2WD 2.7L Tacoma. Now it is four-wheel drive, locked front and rear, geared, long-travel, supercharged and carrying enough camping equipment to make “packing light” mostly theoretical.
Fast Rack has never been only about a truck. The people, animals and memories that come along for the ride are part of the story too. Shop cat belongs here because Shop cat is part of Fast Rack.
I’m Kris, the guy behind Fast Rack Overland. I’ve spent decades in the automotive aftermarket, working with vehicles, manufacturers, vendors and the gear that eventually finds its way onto builds like my Tacoma. Fast Rack is where that experience collided with cinematic filmmaking, camping, mountain biking, good cigars, responsible target shooting and my love for the woods.
My faith in God is a huge part of who I am. There’s something about getting away from the noise, sitting beside a campfire or creek and spending time in God’s creation that puts everything back into perspective. Some of my best conversations with God happen when everything else gets quiet.
Sometimes the Tacoma gets me into the woods. Sometimes two wheels take it from there. Either way, the goal is pretty simple: tell a good story, enjoy the adventure, occasionally shred the gnar, and be grateful for the life God has given me.
